I charge a basic fee of £185 for a weekday funeral ceremony.

This fee includes the following services:

Having taken instructions from you (either directly or via your Funeral Director), I arrange to meet with you (and any family members or friends who would like to be present) to offer guidance, to discuss the structure and content of the ceremony and to gather biographical information, stories and anecdotes for the eulogy (if you would like one). This meeting will last in the region of an hour and a half; it can take place in your home or (where appropriate) at the office of your Funeral Director.

I write a draft, based on the information which we have gathered together, plus material sent by other family members and friends, and will send the order of service to you for comment and amendment, if required.

I liase with your Funeral Director about your Order of Service, timings and choice of music. For more information about music, please follow this link.

I write up the complete Order of Service, including contributions from others, and I give you a hard copy (or copies) after the ceremony has been completed.

I lead the funeral ceremony at the venue of your choice, and I facilitate participation by friends or family as planned.

My travel costs are included in the fee, if the ceremony takes place within a twenty mile radius of my home. For ceremonies further afield, I charge £10 per hour travelling time.
